Seven candidates have been nominated in Kaberamaido district for parliamentary seats on day one by 2:00pm.
Among those nominated include: Veronica Isala Eragu on NRM ticket for Kaberamaido County. Already with he nominated is Julius Peter Emigu on FDC ticket I Kaberamaido County.
Having failed from NRM party primaries, Alfred Edakasi Elalu Olale has also been nominated as an independent candidate to compete for seat for Kaberamaido County.
Meanwhile, for Kaberamaido woman parliamentary seat, Maria Gorreti Ajilo for the NRM party has also been nominated together with one of the person she beat in the NRM primary elections.
Jane Awichi who lost in the NRM party primary elections has also been nominated.
The two join the incumbent Member of Parliament Flowrence Ekwau Ibi who is on FDC ticket. Kalaki County MP Clement Kenneth Ongalo Obote also got nominated as the NRM flag-bearer.
According to the district Registrar of Kaberamaido, Samson Omuron, those nominated will have to wait for others who will get nominated on day two before campaigns can start.
